Managing PEAD forms — The best way to distribute, sign, and store your PEAD forms
The California Association of Realtors (CAR), has released new forms to help Realtors navigate practicing real estate during these challenging times. These forms are the Listing Agreement Coronavirus Addendum or Amendment (RLA-CAA) for sellers and listing agents to sign, and the Property Viewing Advisory and Declaration (PEAD), which is to be given to and signed by the seller, buyer, agents and anyone else who will be entering a property.
NOTE: The PEAD forms in the article are currently only applicable within California. If you practice outside of California, we’d love to hear from you. Let us know in the comments what you are currently doing to ensure safety while continuing to deliver a high-quality real estate experience.
In this article, we’ll walk you through the most effective processes that agents have adopted, within Disclosures.io, to better manage these new forms.
Listing Agents Managing Safety, Safely
How do you protect the safety of individuals who may come into contact with your listing while still delivering the high-quality service that your clients have come to expect?
The Coronavirus has presented a new set of challenges for Listing Agents. For many, this involves a new form of scheduling that requires potential buyers to provide a proof of interest. Additionally the listing agent has to present the home to buyers following a tight schedule that ensures multiple parties aren’t in the listing at the same time. Finally, along with a whole lot of hand sanitizer, gloves, and face masks, listing agents are required to get the PEAD form signed by all individuals who enter the property.
The Easy Way to Get PEADs Out
With Disclosures.io, it’s easy to add the PEAD form to the property package for your listing, where you can send it to your seller to be signed. You can then invite interested buyer parties to your property package in Disclosures.io, which gives them access to your PEAD form. Once they receive access, they can use the Docusign integration with Disclosures.io to have their clients sign the PEAD form and send it back to you.

Buyer Agents helping their Clients Stay Safe
If you or your clients are going to view a listing in person, it’s important to sign the PEAD form. Many listing agents are now including the PEAD form in their property package within Disclosures.io.
The Easiest Way to Send The PEADs to your Clients
When you receive access to the property package within Disclosures.io, you can utilize the DocuSign integration to place the signature tags and send the request to your clients for signature. You can even cc’ the listing agent on the DocuSign envelope, which will provide them with a signed copy.
